Hoop Club is a quarterly subscription service, every three months subscribers will receive a new embroidery hoop kit. Each quarter the hoop will be designed by a different illustrator or embroidery designer. Like any good subscription box you’ll also get a beautifully curated extra surprise in your box!

With each edition, we'll learn different embroidery techniques together from chain stitch to cross stitch, they will always be really simple to do, but we also want to help you learn new skills and they will always look beautiful on your wall. I want this to be a way for you to deepen your love of embroidery and feed a hobby that helps you stay off your phone and brings you peace of mind and a way to relax after a busy day.

What is Hoop Club?

Hoop Club is a quarterly embroidery subscription service. We find talented artists and designers from around the world and collaborate to come up with modern embroidery projects every three months. They’ll most likely contain a hoop (hence the name) but we’ll be exploring all different types of embroidery techniques together so sometimes the apparatus may be different!

Should I sign up if I'm a beginner?

Absolutely! Like all Cotton Clara kits, our projects are designed to be simple and satisfying, while we’ll be learning new stitches and techniques over the coming months, nothing will be overly technical, and everything comes with full instructions and video tutorials.z

Will the kits be too easy for me if I’m more experienced?

We hope not! We find it as satisfying to do a simple kit as a more elaborate one, and we hope you’ll be delighted by the never before seen designs and exciting collaborations. We’ll also try and offer suggestions as to how you might use a range of different stitches on a kit, to make it more or less challenging.

Will the kits be in the cotton clara shop after the Subscription period is ended?

Occasionally we bring a Hoop Club project to the Cotton Clara shop, but if you like a project you’ll need to subscribe to guarantee availability.

Why should I subscribe?

Hoop Club is a wonderful community of modern makers! We post tutorials with each project where you can pick up tips and get help if you need it. Subscribers also benefit from getting their hands on these brand new kits first before they are available to anyone else, AND we source some brilliant little extras to go in the boxes, that you wouldn’t get were you just buying the kit. We want Hoop Club to be a place where you grow your love of embroidery and cement it as a hobby for life. We know it helps with anxiety, and crafting in general can really improve your mental health and happiness, not least because it keeps you off your phone! All subscribers also get a discount off Cotton Clara products as long as they subscribe, and we distribute a free pdf pattern with every box, so there is plenty to keep you busy!

Are you shipping internationally?

We can ship internationally! We are using DHL which is a tracked 3-5 day service, and is why shipping is a bit more expensive. We’ve chosen this because in the current climate it’s the most reliable way of delivering your parcel to you quickly and reliably. In the future we’re going to do our best to bring this international shipping cost down.

Can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time, you have until the 15th of the month that the box ships in to cancel it for the next period’s box. You can manage your subscription by logging in to your account section. If you want to pause your subscription box, you have until 15th of the month of shipping to pause in your account settings and we'll skip taking payment from you that period.

Can I buy a one off box?

Our gift subscription offers you the change to purchase a one off box. This option doesn’t auto renew.

When do the boxes ship?

We'll be shipping boxes in the 3rd week of the shipping month in each quarter. (Shipping months are November, February, May, and August) Shipping should take 1-2 days for the UK and 3-5 for international orders.

When will I be billed?

You will always be billed immediately at the time of checkout, but subsequent orders will be charged on the 16th of the next three month period. If you subscribe before the 16th (of the month of shipping) your payment will be for that next box sent out on 20th. If you sign up after 16th of the month of shipping, your first payment will be taken and will pay for the next quarter's box. All subscribers will be billed quarterly.

Can I gift a subscription box?

Yes! There is a gift subscription option which purchases a one off box and doesn’t auto renew.
