Hoop Club Box 8 Preview

I've been working on this one for a while, perfecting it for you ever since I saw the most beautiful book on Sashiko stitching. It was all in Japanese, but full of the most beautiful, modern Sashiko designs. Up to that point most of the designs I'd seen were the traditional white on indigo fabric. These were all really colourful with fresh, modern designs and it sparked my imagination and desire to share a Sashiko project with you!

So I'm excited to introduce the project. We're going to be making a placemat for your table, or desk or mantelpiece - but you could also make a cushion out of it. We're stitching onto 100% cotton, tracing over the printed pattern in the traditional Japanese style. It's very simple but it's a nice intro into a different type of embroidery and I'm sure will spark your imagination for other types of project you could complete with it.
