If you're looking for a way to finish off your kumihimo braids so you can knot them onto your wrist a bit more easily, this is the easiest method I've found. Make a loop at the start of your braid (the end that ends up at the bottom) by untying the knot, then retying it with a gap between the knot and the end of the braid. Then take the excess thread at the other end (the end you take off the braiding ring) and split it into two parts. Plait each part so you end up with two mini plaits. Take one of these plaits through you loop at the other end then tie both the mini plaits together in a knot.
