Hama Bead Love
I discovered an amazing Australian artist the other day who does amazing stuff with Hama Beads, so I just had to share her work here with you. Rachel Burke is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Brisbane. Her work is colourful and unexpected, but it was her recent project using Hama beads that caught my eye. Title 'Thanks for Nothing' Rachel exhibited a whole show of work that has been created using hama beads. I cannot imagine how long this took, it slightly blows my mind.
See images of the exhibition here.
Anyway, seeing this amazing work inspired me to get my hama beads out and create an alphabet that I could use for different hama bead projects. I created some super quick little mats and coasters or they could be mini artworks too?
Perfect for placing a little plant or cup of tea onto, these will bring a gorgeous pop of colour to your home and you'll totally space out while you're making it, so it's a win for the brain too!
