Hello Miffy...
In 1955 Dick Bruna first sketched a little white rabbit to illustrate the bedtime stories he told his son about a playful rabbit living in the garden of their holiday home, and thus the iconic Miffy was born. Sixty five years later the instantly recognisable bunny is as popular now as ever before, loved by people all over the world.
Miffy is Bruna's best known and most popular character, featuring in more than 30 books, far more than any other character he created and it was a no brainer for me when we were approached to collaborate - Cotton Clara is all about simple, classic design especially when combined with a retro feel and this iconic bunny is the perfect example of this!

I also have a personal connection to the brand as my sisters and I had a Miffy alphabet frieze in or childhood bedroom, and a little Miffy oilcloth bag that I can still remember now! I'm immediately taken back to happy memories playing with them whenever I see anything Miffy related. I think this is the same for a lot of people; Miffy sparks happy memories of childhood's past which inspire them to introduce the character to their children, and so on and so on. That's how she has remained relevant and popular for all these years - and long may she do so!

WIth all that in mind I am so in love with our new Miffy cross stitch kits, now available to buy. Through the simple beauty of cross stitching you can bring the little white rabbit to life and enjoy the "I made that" satisfaction! I actually started Cotton Clara when I couldn't find anything to stitch or make that suited my style when I was pregnant; if these kits had been available then they would have been top of my list! They're so easy to make but look so good.
